The Sacrament of Marriage is a sacred and joyful covenant, blessed by God and witnessed by the Church. We are honored to accompany you as you prepare for a lifetime of love and commitment.
Planning Your Wedding:
Couples wishing to be married at St. Mary’s are asked to contact the parish office at least 9 months in advance of the desired wedding date. This time allows for proper preparation and completion of all necessary requirements.
Marriage Preparation Includes:
• Participation in pre-marriage preparation sessions
• Meetings with the priest
• Gathering of required documentation (e.g., recent baptismal certificates, confirmation records, civil paperwork if needed)
Marriage Preparation Course:
As part of the marriage preparation process, we ask all couples to complete the Diocese of Hamilton Marriage Preparation Course. This course is designed to help you grow in understanding, communication, and shared faith as you prepare for life together. This should be done after your meeting with the parish priest and once your wedding date has been confirmed.
